Help your members link, book and renew as a household

Ready-to-use email, website, social and on-site copy to share household membership linking with your guests.

Which template should I use?

These ready-to-use messages help your members find and use household membership linking: one online account for the whole family, using any linked membership when booking online and renewing everyone in one transaction. Copy the text into your own email tool, website, social channels and signage, and adjust the tone to match your brand.

Before you send

Linking only works once these are in place. Check them first so guests don't hit a dead end:

  1. Family Memberships is turned on for your account.
  2. Enable Client Login is on for the Web Engine your guests use, so they can reach My Account.
  3. Each membership's Member Contact Form includes First Name and Last Name, both required.
  4. The membership products guests renew or upgrade to are available in that Web Engine.

See Family Memberships: Setting Up Linking and Sharing for details.

2cFAQ
Copy-ready text

Do my children need their own email address or login?

No. Their memberships can be linked to a parent's or guardian's account.

How do I add a membership I already have to my account?

Sign in to My Account, go to Memberships and select Add a Membership. Enter the membership number and the member's first and last name exactly as they appear on the membership.

Can I use my family's memberships when I book online?

Yes. Sign in to My Account before you book. Your own membership is applied automatically, and you can choose another linked membership under Have a Membership on the Review Cart page. One membership can be used per online order.

How do we show our memberships when we arrive?

Open each member's card from My Account → Memberships, or add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Can I renew everyone at once?

Yes. In My Account, go to Memberships and select Renew. Every linked membership that's due is selected, and you check out once.

Can someone else in my family use or manage our memberships?

Yes. For example, if Grandma is taking the kids for the day, she can use their memberships from her own account. Open the membership in My Account and select Share, enter her email address, and choose Use this membership or Use and manage this membership. She'll get an email invitation.

To share a membership, you need to be able to manage it. If you added a membership that wasn't already connected to another account, you can manage it automatically.

Can I renew a membership that someone else manages?

Yes. You can use and renew any membership added to your account, even if another account manages who it's shared with.

I created a separate account for each family member. What happens to those?

Nothing changes automatically. Bring the memberships into the account you want to keep, and you can stop using the others.

If you'd also like to manage who can access a membership from your main account, share it from the old account first:

  • Sign in to the old account and go to Memberships.
  • Open the membership and select Share.
  • Enter the email address for your main account and select Use and manage this membership, then Send Invitation.
  • Open the invitation email and sign in with your main account.

Why can't I add a membership?

Check that the membership number, first name and last name match the membership exactly. Only active memberships can be added or shared, so an expired membership needs to be renewed first.

I'm not sure which account a membership is on, or I can't get into an old account.

Contact us at [Guest Services phone] or [Guest Services email]. We'll help connect your family's memberships to the right account, with the access you need.

When a family is buying or renewing

"Did you know you can now keep all of your family's memberships in one online account, even the kids'? Once they're linked, you can book online with any of them and renew everyone together next time."

When a guest asks about using a family member's membership online

"Sign in to your account before you book. Your membership is applied automatically, and you can pick a family member's membership under Have a Membership in your cart. One membership can be used per online order."

How to link

"Sign in to My Account on our website, go to Memberships and select Add a Membership. You'll need each membership number and the member's first and last name."

When a guest has several logins

"You can link all of those memberships to the account you want to keep. Your other logins won't change, so you can simply stop using them."

"To manage sharing from your main account too, sign in to the old account, share each membership to your main account's email, choose Use and manage this membership, then accept the invitation with your main account."

When a guest can't link a membership

"Let's check the membership number and the name on file. They need to match exactly, and the membership needs to be active." If it still doesn't work, look up the membership in RocketOffice.

Staff can also share or link memberships for a guest in RocketOffice. See Family Memberships: Managing Membership Access in RocketOffice.
